Bhutan is a very safe country to visit, crime is uncommon, even petty crime! The country has no traffic lights, there are traffic wardens instead and the locals love it.

Things to note:

-The production and sale of tobacco are illegal, as are hunting and fishing (except for catch and release).

-Don’t point your fingers at people or art, it is seen as rude.

-Don’t offer any sort of sweets, toys or money to the children in Bhutan.

-Follow the instructions given by your tour guide strictly.

-Do not climb or step on any religious artifacts or temples.
